How to keep your baby healthy



Every parent wishes for a healthy child so in a way it could be said that healthy baby starts with healthy parents. It is for the mothers to know this important factor that they are the backbone of their child’s health while their babies are in the womb. When babies are in the womb, child eats and drinks what mother does so indirectly their health depends on mother’s health at large. Lots of people have experienced this fact, some mothers start reading to their babies while still they are inside the womb and research have showed that their babies actually start learning faster.

Well, for a child to be healthy, it starts with an healthy environment. There should be positivity around the house and the mother should be out of distress or out of being upset of her surroundings. Mother’s emotional stress indirectly but definitely affects the baby and their health and as a result it could lead to early births, miscarriages or baby born with umbilical cord around its neck. For a baby to be healthy it is important for him/her to have caring parents and caring home. Even when babies are very young of just one month old they can sense what is good for them and what brings danger for them. They can sense their mother’s feelings just by the way mother touches them. Here is a short list to follow to keep your babies healthy and fit:

  • Feed them yourself right from the very start of their upbringing.
  • Make a point to always keep them neat and clean, keep their toys clean and wash them regularly if need be.
  • Give your babies love to the maximum and whenever they demand.
  • Give them vaccinations that are needed on a regular basis, do not miss out on the regular doses.
  • Keep your babies away from the people who smoke, alcohol drinkers or drug peddlers – they might contract meningitis.
  • Ensure that your babies get enough rest and make sure that you too have rest on a timely basis. More rest means they are more fresh and you too would have capacity to handle them in a more positive way.
  • Always look for how your babies react to different people, places or objects.
  • Look for the reasons why they actually cry, is it to grab attention, hunger or they in pain or discomfort.
  • Cotton is the best suitable material for their clothing and the bed sheet, do not use any foreign material on their bodies. Avoid their contacts with dyed clothes or prints, that might get them rash on their bodies.
  • Take care to see that your baby does not sleep with bottles in their mouth, their teeth might get damaged if they do not breast feed.
  • Avoid keep toys and stuffed animals in their crib while they are sleeping, this could suffocate them and also avoid laying them over their stomach.

Most of the mothers are stressed if they are working moms as well, in such case, there should be some person from the family or a close relative who can take care of the baby well in mom’s absence or if she is mentally and physically drained from stress. Healthy parents are great foundation for healthy babies, remember!
